Magnetic Separators - Type BMPI’s type ‘B’ magnetic separators utilize a north & south magnetic "pole" with large spacing between poles to create a powerful magnetic field to capture and retain medium to large sized tramp metal contaminants. Type ‘B’ magnets are ideally suited for applications that include high product volume stream flows and the need to capture and retain large volumes of tramp metal between magnet cleaning cycles. PTK - PULL TEST KITMPI offers a key tool to assist in implementing and maintaining an effective magnetic separation equipment Quality Control program. This tool is known as the MPI Pull Test Kit (PTK) and is designed for in plant use to inspect and document the performance of existing magnetic separators. PTKs are ideal for companies committed to quality HACCP, TQM, GMP or other similar programs.
PLATE MAGNETMPI's Plate Magnets are designed for use in gravity-fed angled chutes which convey low to high volume product streams. Typical installations are below-the-flow, where product flows over the magnetic face, providing optimum ferrous tramp metal retention in a wide variety of chute applications. MAGNETIC HUMPMPI’s Hump Magnet includes the use of (2) Plate Magnets installed into a Hump shaped housing designed for use in vertical gravity chutes. As the product drops through the chute it passes across the 1st Plate Magnet where metals are captured. The Hump configuration of the unit causes the product to "flip over" as it passes across the 2nd magnet. This method of handling the product through the magnetic separator provides superior metal removal performance.
MAGNETIC CHUTEMPI’s Magnetic Chute includes the use of (2) or (4) Plate Magnets located on opposite sides of a vertical chute depending on the model selected. As product is conveyed by gravity vertically, the tramp metal contaminants are captured by the opposing Plate Magnets. These models offer a very effective yet low profile elevation magnetic solution and are available in either (2) or (3) cell configurations with manual or automatic self cleaning design options. MAGNETIC ROTARY FEEDERMPI’s Magnetic Rotary Feeder offers both a controlled product feed device into process equipment such as Hammer Mills and a very effective magnetic separator all in one. This model is available in mounting flange patterns to retro-fit onto existing Hammer Mills to provide better hammer and screen wear and improvements in grinding capacity feed rates. These models can easily be modified at our factory to fit other types of process equipment. The powerful Plate Magnet is mounted to the feeder with MPI’s exclusive magnet track cleaning system. This provides an easy, one hand cleaning feature on manual clean models that really works and is available in automatic self cleaning design also.
SUSPENDED ELECTRO MAGNETMPI’s Suspended Electro Magnet has been developed to handle high volume product stream flows that exceed the limitations of standard permanent suspended magnets. These models are available in both, manual on/off or automatic, self cleaning system designs. Electrical Power Supplies to operate the magnets are also available and recommended to ensure proper electrical power is supplied to the magnet.
LIQUID PLATE TRAPMPI’s Liquid Plate Trap is available in single or double Plate Magnet models and is designed to fit in standard liquid product process lines. As product is pumped past the powerful permanent Plate Magnet, tramp iron is captured. The magnet(s) is easily removed from the housing without the requirement of tools to remove collected tramp iron. Housings are offered in either a industrial class or sanitary food grade surface finish.
SUSPENDED PERMANENT MAGNETMPI’s Suspended Permanent Magnet provides a deep reaching magnetic field able to lift and capture tramp metal from high speed product conveyor belts at a distance of up to 12" from the conveyor belt surface. An effective MPI exclusive designed manual winch, cable and collection pan cleaning system is offered on larger models. A motor driven automatic self cleaning continuous cleated belt system is also available. |
