Fast and Intuitive Magnet Testing
The MPI Gauss Meter is engineered to measure both strong and moderate magnetic fields. It offers a user-friendly and efficient experience, featuring an impressive dynamic range that spans from 0.0 to 19,999.9 Gauss in increments of 0.1 Gauss. For readings exceeding 20,000 Gauss, the range adjusts automatically to 20.000 to 29.999 kilogauss (20,000 to 29,999 Gauss) with a precision of 1 Gauss. This allows for detection of changes as subtle as 0.1 Gauss, such as in a field of 14,000 Gauss, typical of the strongest fields produced by permanent magnets. Additionally, this Gauss meter can measure AC fields up to 10,000 Gauss. A rapid peak hold function with a 2-millisecond window effectively captures and displays any transients, whether they are positive or negative. Moreover, two quick alarm settings (also 2 milliseconds) can be activated as needed; the alarm can trigger if the magnetic field exceeds a predetermined value or falls within a specific range that you define.

Gauss Meter Product Details
-
Power on the Gauss Meter and ensure it is zeroed according to the instructions provided (usually by holding the probe away from magnetic fields and pressing “zero”).
-
Attach the appropriate probe (axial for direct field measurement, transverse for perpendicular field mapping).
-
Place the probe tip on or near the magnetic surface to be measured, ensuring good contact and stable orientation.
-
Observe the digital display, which will show the current field strength in Gauss or Tesla units.
-
Use the “hold” or “peak” button to capture the highest field value for recording and reporting.
-
Compare readings to historical data or manufacturer specs to assess degradation or performance loss.
-
Log results as part of regular maintenance, incoming inspection, or validation records.
