Metal Shark 2A – Improving Metal Detection Technology
Material Process Equipment and Cassel is proud to announce the global launch of the Metal Shark 2a which offers cutting edge metal detection and enhanced functionality.
Terry Woolford, Head of Business Development, stated, “With the Shark 2a the best is now even better! We have wrapped up 2 years of R&D into the new model release, providing a real step change in performance. With full backwards compatibility, existing users can also benefit by upgrading to our latest electronics.”
As customer demands of sensitivity and stability go up, MPE Cassel has developed an innovative new metal detector controller that offers several new features and enhancements over the current Metal Shark 2 model. Among those enhancements, Metal Shark 2a has increased sensitivity with low noise circuitry, it utilizes one main board that supports all MPE Cassel models and software comes standard.
Physical enhancements of the Metal Shark 2a controller housing includes a new potting material that gives increased immunity to vibration and is more resistant to mechanical impact cracking. The Metal Shark 2a controller also features a brand new TFT high brightness/contrast 5.4” full color display for easy reading and programming for an improved user-experience.
Programming improvements of Metal Shark 2a include ultra-high speed product scanning of up to 6,600 feet or 2,200 meters per minute! There is also a “teach” mode that bases on elapsed time which is useful for irregular products or bulk flowing products with low product effect. An electromagnetic interface is test built into the inboard oscilloscope which allows noise signals to be shown graphically and a sensor frequency that can automatically step to move away from interference. MPE Cassel has also added improved monitoring including fully featured descriptive errors and system status notifications.
Metal Shark 2a is optimized to provide a seamless upgrade from Shark 2 allowing an easy transition for previous customers to take advantage of these new benefits.
