Employee of the Month
We believe that recognizing the individual contributions of our employees is very important.
Without their efforts to go above and beyond we could not be successful. Each month one employee is awarded the title of Employee of the Month based on peer and management nominations. The winner receives a cash prize, has their photo on display on our digital news board, and gets to park in the designated Employee of the Month parking spot that is in prime location near the employee entrance.
Moments That Matter
At MPI we believe that the day you join MPI is a Moment that Matters.
We recognize all Moments that Matter to our employees. It is important to acknowledge employment anniversaries. We know that as our employees stay with us, they are a vast source of knowledge and expertise in their positions. We celebrate each employee on their anniversary with a personalized card from our management team. All of the employee anniversaries for the month are proudly displayed on our digital news board for all to see. Those employees achieving a five year milestone anniversary receive special recognition. They receive a letter from our company president and a catalog from which they can choose a gift to commemorate their milestone.
Game of Work
We operate under the philosophy of The Game of Work.
Players (you) work with their coach (supervisor) to create a game-plan of goals for year that are assigned a point value. At the end of each quarter you and your coach meet to review the plan, progress toward goals, and points earned in that quarter.
Players can redeem the points for things like work from home days, vacation time, flex-time, a standard lunch break extended by 45 minutes with a gift certificate to purchase their meal and gift cards. Players can redeem their points every quarter or let them roll-over to redeem their points for larger value items at the next redemption cycle.
You, the player, are responsible for monitoring and reporting your progress toward goals as well as any obstacles you're facing. Your coach is responsible for assisting you in reaching your goals, helping to remove any obstacles, and providing encouragement.
Wellness Program
At MPI employee health and wellness is a top priority.
We partner with our health insurance provider to bring health & wellness seminars to you, at no cost, and we encourage all employees to participate.
We typically provide four-to-six onsite wellness events and one-to-two wellness challenges per year. The onsite events have included healthy cooking demonstrations, wellness presentations, exercise demonstrations, health screenings, and chair massages. The challenges provide you with the opportunity to work on a healthy habit while enjoying some friendly competition with your co-workers.
We offer all employees the ability to utilize a health & wellness portal through our health insurance provider. This portal provides links to many online seminars and behavior change programs to help employees live healthier lives. The portal also provides employees a place to track exercise, diet, and health information.
