Metal Detector for Liquids
The Cassel Metal Detector for Liquids and Slurries Series: IN-Liquids is designed specifically for the inline inspection of liquids, pastes, and slurries in industrial production processes.
The system uses advanced electromagnetic field technology to detect ferrous, non-ferrous, and stainless steel contaminants in liquids and slurries.
It features a specialized coil system inside the detection tube. As the product flows through the detector, any metal particles passing through disrupt the electromagnetic field, creating a detectable signal.
The detector is installed directly in the production pipeline. It is compatible with various pump systems, including pressure and gravity-fed systems.
The detector operates continuously without interrupting the flow of liquids or slurries, making it suitable for high-speed production lines.

Liquid Metal Detector Product Details
The Cassel Metal Detector for Liquids and Slurries Series: IN-Liquids is designed specifically for detecting metal contaminants in liquids, slurries, and pastes during industrial processing. These types of metal detectors are commonly used in industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals, where maintaining product purity is crucial. Here's how the system works:
- Detection Principle: The Cassel IN-Liquids metal detector operates using electromagnetic fields. It uses a combination of coils to generate a magnetic field and detect metal contaminants within the product as it flows through the system. When the liquid or slurry passes through the detector, any metal object inside the product will disrupt the electromagnetic field, causing a change in the signal.
- Signal Processing: The metal detector’s coils continuously monitor changes in the electromagnetic field. If any metal is detected, the system’s electronics analyze the signal’s frequency, amplitude, and phase to identify the type of metal, its size, and its position in the flow. The detector can identify ferrous, non-ferrous, and stainless steel contaminants, which are common in many industrial applications.
- Automatic Reject System: Once metal contamination is detected, the system triggers an automatic rejection mechanism. This could include a diverter valve, a pneumatic system, or an automatic shutoff, which ensures that contaminated material does not continue through the process line.
- Hygienic Design: The IN-Liquids detectors are designed to be highly resistant to the impact of the liquids or slurries they are processing. The system is built with a hygienic and easy-to-clean design, which is important for industries like food production. The sensor components are often made of materials that are corrosion-resistant and easy to sanitize.
- Real-Time Monitoring: The system allows real-time monitoring of product flow, ensuring that any contamination is detected immediately. This ensures that operators are alerted quickly and can take corrective action to prevent further contamination.
- Integration with Production Lines: Cassel's metal detectors for liquids can be seamlessly integrated into existing production lines. The system is designed to work in high-throughput environments without causing significant disruptions or slowdowns.
