At MPI we believe it is important to share our good fortune with others and are passionate about making a positive impact in our local community. Highland is a wonderful community for our headquarters and MPI employees are generous! We spread our contributions throughout the community by supporting our local school district, area nonprofits and MPI employee fundraisers. Our employees are always willing to help their coworkers with cookie and pizza kits sales plus annual bowl-a-thons and golf outing sponsorships.
We help local charities by hosting back-to-school supply and canned goods drives. During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays we adopt a family from our school community so they may enjoy the splendor of the holiday season. Our employees don’t miss a beat with donations! Our team is known for buying too much – everything from warm clothes for our Michigan winters; super fun games and toys; holiday meals and groceries; down to wrapping paper and stocking stuffers. Our employees have a heart of gold.
One of our biggest fundraisers benefits Meals on Wheels, Highland Goodfellows and Community Sharing. Many of our employees contribute to these organizations through a charitable giving fund each pay period. At the end of the year MPI matches dollar-for-dollar the money raised by our employees doubling the benefit to the community. The selected organizations work directly with people in our local community to provide emergency support services such as food, clothing, household goods, emergency utility payments, Christmas gifts for children, and hot meals.
One of our most memorable fundraisers assisted one of our own employees. Our talented manufacturing team designed and fabricated customized angel and snowperson Christmas ornaments using our internal resources. The proceeds assisted a fellow employee with health care expenses. Our employees are extremely kindhearted. We are grateful to have the employee back at work with us. Cheers to continued health!
