METAL SHARK®2A Standard Controller for Metal Detectors

METAL SHARK®2A Control Unit is the Standard Controller

Food safety and product purity are paramount for MPI customers. As technology advances, magnetic separation and electronic inspection equipment must evolve too. We are pleased to announce that, CASSEL, our product partner, will make the next generation METAL SHARK®2A the standard controller for all new metal detectors in March 2021. If you recently purchased a METAL SHARK®2 Controller from MPI, it is the METAL SHARK®2A version.

The METAL SHARK®2A Control Unit offers reliable inspection solutions critical to product quality. The new control unit provides:

  • better user interface due to a bigger control panel and intuitive software
  • improved identification of electronic interferences and thus less false rejects
  • enhanced intuitive adaptivity to your products
  • greater sensitivities and monitoring of the detection process with four-quadrant technology
  • remote control and support via SHARKNET possible

If you have an existing METAL SHARK®1 Control Unit, it will begin to be phased out. Spare parts and support will be provided for five years or until February 28, 2026. We will also off an opportunity to upgrade your existing METAL SHARK®1 to the improved control unit depending upon your METAL SHARK ® metal detector model.
