Trends in the Recycling Industry
Highland, MI (March 3, 2014) – Recycling continues to be at the top of everyone’s agenda! The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries recently reported that the United States’ scrap metal industry generated $87 billion in 2012. In it's second annual, ISRI Scrap Yearbook, the association provides a statistical overview of the US industry. Some notable highlights were that more than $10 billion in federal, state, and local tax revenue was collected and that 135 million tons of scrap metal, paper, plastics, electronics, textiles, glass, and rubber were processed.
At Magnetic Products, Inc. we are constantly researching the industry challenges faced by recyclers and working to develop innovative solutions to meet their needs. Our company currently offers several pieces of recycling processing equipment such as drum magnets, suspended magnetic separators, separation rolls, cross belt separators, eddy current separators and metal detectors. We will be exhibiting at this years’ ISRI 2014 Convention & Exposition so be sure to stop by our booth (#938) to see some of these recycling industry products up close!
