Quick-Clean Drawer Magnet

MPI’s Quick-Clean Drawer Magnets utilize a “Type A” magnetic circuit, to remove s more

  1. Magnetic Tubes:
    • MPI drawer magnets feature two tiers of high-intensity rare earth magnetic tubes that ensure the highest levels of magnetic filtration through direct product contact on the tubes, removing ferrous tramp metal from the product stream
  2. Cleaning Cycle:
    • Start: Unlatch the drawer. Pull the magnetic tubes through the stripper assembly to deposit the collected tramp metal from the magnetic tubes into the collection tray outside of the housing
    • Finish: Push the magnetic tubes back through the stripper assembly into the housing (working position) and re-latch the drawer
  3. Floating Stripper Seal:
    • Adjusts to tube resulting in even wear and longer life between replacements
    • Held in place by machined and fastened laminated stripper plate assembly
  4. Stripper Latch:
    • Releases stripper plate assembly once the plate has been clearly pulled away from the sealing plate
    • Prevents accidental cleaning of the tubes in the product flow area, commonly caused when the stripper assembly is stuck to the sealing plate
  5. Sani-TIGHT Seal™ Gasket:
    • Type: Compression style “O-ring” cord gasket
    • Sealing plate: ½” thick machined stainless plate
    • 100% Positive seal, cannot be over-compressed
    • Sanitary: Gasket can be removed and replaced for wash-down, no adhesive required
  6. Rear Access Panel:
    For easy inspection and maintenance
  7. Tramp Metal Collection Tray:
    • Attachment: Removable cantilever tray
    • Locking notch prevents the tray from vibrating loose
  8. Grounding Strap:
    • Provides a discharge path for static buildup
  9. Self-Clean Model Available:
    • Automated cleaning, easy inspection, and maintenance

how it works
Product flows through two rows of 1” diameter magnetic tubes, designed to create an extremely effective magnetic circuit. The rows of magnetic tubes are staggered to maximize magnetic filtration as the product flows through the housing. Tramp metal contaminants move to the underside of the magnetic tubes eliminating tramp metal “wash-off.” After terminating the product flow, the magnetic tubes are pulled through non-metallic UHMW stripper assemblies, cleaning the magnetic tubes and depositing the metal contaminants outside the product stream into a collection tray.
